BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's ice hockey hosted non-conference opponent UMass. Lowell over the weekend at the Pingree School. Senior Alex Dodds (Grantham, N.H.) and freshman Lucian DiMarco (Glastonbury, Conn.) each tallied three points to help lift the Gulls to a 4-0 victory. Endicott improves to 2-1-2 on the season.

Endicott will take the ice next on Friday, October 24th as they travel to conference opponent Bryant for a 7:00 p.m. matchup. The next day the pair will meet again but in Gulls territory for a 7:30 p.m. start at the Pingree School.

The Blue and Green controlled the majority of the first half but just could not capitalize on the scoreboard leaving the game at a stalemate entering the first intermission. The second period showed an eager group of Gulls as they came out of the gates firing.

Five minutes into the second period Dodds finished a combo play by DiMarco and freshman Benjamin MacEwen (Waltham, Mass.) to take a 1-0 lead. Neither side would find the back of the net until the final minutes of the period. With 2:14 on the clock senior Kevin Brennan (Scituate, Mass.) blasted the puck into the back of the net with help from Dodds and sophomore Drew Thibodeau (Peabody, Mass.) to take the two goal advantage.

In the final seconds of the period DiMarco wanted to give the Blue and Green a three goal edge as he and freshman Kyle Webb (Reading, Mass.) made a combination play to goal where DiMarco was able to slip the puck past the Riverhawks goaltender.

The third period was again controlled by the Blue and Green and freshman MacEwen found the back of the net in the 15 minute to secure the 4-0 victory. Sophomore goaltender, Nick Russo (Waltham, Mass.) was stealthy in net for the Blue and Green making some key stops.
