Head Coach at Endicott (2016-present)

Rachel (Mustone) Strangie enters her second season as Endicott's cheerleading head coach in 2017-18.

Strangie came to Endicott with close to 10 years of cheerleading and gymnastics coaching experience. Strangie will look to expand the program's efforts in regional and national competition as well as regular involvement with the College's varsity athletic teams. 

Strangie has spent the last seven years as the Winthrop High School head coach for varsity cheerleading. While at the helm, Winthrop advanced to the 2013 National High School Cheerleading Championship semifinals along with winning the 2014 Massachusetts North Regional Championship. In 2015, Winthrop was named Canadian/North American Medium Varsity National Champions. As head coach, Strangie has overseen a group of 25 student-athletes while scheduling fundraisers, games, practices, and competitions.

From 2005 to 2009, Strangie was a tumbling coach for Winthrop Gymnastics Academy and has also coached at the youth level. Outside of coaching, Strangie has worked in the Boston Public Schools district since 2013 where she serves as an Applied Behavior Analysis Specialist.

Strangie is a Winthrop High School graduate and received her B.S. in Psychology from Salem State University. Strangie also is currently pursuing her M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at Salem State. Additionally, she is AACCA certified, CPR & First Aid certified, an NFHS credentialed coach, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI™) Certified.
