Theresa Cook introduced as new Gulls cheerleading head coach

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott Athletic Department announced today the hiring of Theresa Cook as the new Gulls cheerleading head coach for the 2012-13 academic year. 

Cook comes to Endicott with ten years of cheerleading and dance coaching experience looking to expand the program's efforts in regional and national competition as well as regular involvement with the College's varsity athletic teams. 

Cook began her coaching career in 2002 as the Marblehead High School head coach for varsity cheerleading.  The Marblehead squad won the 2008 National Championship, seven Northeast Conference league titles, and made six runner up showings at the regional and state title competitions.  Cook choreographed the dance routine for competition and halftime performances, organized all fundraisers, and supervised all varsity cheerleading events including competitions, games, and practices.

From 2005-09, Cook coached both junior and senior level competition routines at the J&D Cheer & Dance Academy and earned five national championships and numerous first and second place finishes at various events. 

Most recently, Cook worked at Burke's Tumbling Academy where she served as the senior coed head coach where she led her squad to two national titles, an undefeated season in 2010 and 2011, the National Sportsmanship Award, and an overall Grand Champion Award. 

Cook is a Wakefield High School graduate and is AACCA certified, CPR & First Aid certified, a NFHS credentialed coach, and a MSSAA certified coach.
