UMass Boston Rallies Past Endicott, 5-3

BOSTON, Mass. — The Endicott baseball team fell to UMass Boston, 5-3, on Tuesday evening at Monan Park.

WP (2-0): Ross Dexter (Milton, Mass.) — 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
LP (2-2): Foch Lovejoy (Durham, N.H.) — 1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
SV (3): Josh Eastman (Marshfield, Mass.) — 2 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K

Tied 1-1 after six full innings of play, the Beacons separated themselves with a pair of runs in the seventh and eighth innings, respectively, to improve to 8-1 at home this season.

Nicolas Notarangelo (Taunton, Mass.) gave Endicott a 1-0 lead in the first inning with a solo bomb to right field, his fifth round-tripper of the season.

Meanwhile, Joseph Millar (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.) put the Gulls in striking distance in the ninth via a two-run double down the left field line. Millar eventually advanced to third on a wild pitch, but Eastman induced a ground out to short to wrap up the win.
