Kevin Gould Selected To Play In 2019 NEIBA Joe Walsh All-Star Game

2019 NEIBA ALL-STAR GAME ROSTERS

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior right-handed pitcher Kevin Gould (Rollinsford, N.H.) has been selected to play in the 45th annual New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Joe Walsh All-Star Game. The game will take place on Friday, May 31 at 12 PM in Hartford, Connecticut at Dunkin Stadium.

Gould will represent the Gulls on the College All-Stars Team, which features the top NCAA Division II and III senior student-athletes in New England. The College All-Stars will play the University All-Stars, who are comprised of the region's top NCAA Division I senior student-athletes.

Meanwhile, this past season, Gould made 11 appearances (all starts) for Endicott and posted a 6-2 overall record, two complete games, one shutout (three combined), and a 2.19 earned run average (ERA) in 65 2/3 innings pitched.

Gould also notched 71 strikeouts, which included three separate games with 11 strikeouts, and held opponents to a .226 batting average.

Among all Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) pitchers, Gould ranks among the leaders in the following categories: games started (1st), wins (2nd), complete games (3rd), shutouts (1st), innings pitched (3rd), strikeouts (2nd), strikeouts per game (3rd, 9.73), batting average against (21st), and ERA (1st).

For his efforts, Gould has garnered four postseason awards this spring including All-Region Third Team honors from ABCA/Rawlings, D3baseball.com, and NEIBA, in addition to an All-CCC First Team selection.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott went 23-18 overall (9-5 CCC) and advanced to the postseason for the 24th straight season. The Gulls' 20-plus win season also marks their 11th consecutive season with 20 or more victories and 18th overall in program history.
