STANDISH, Maine – The Endicott baseball team lost to Saint Joseph's (Me.), 12-4, in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday evening at Larry Mahaney Field.

Matt Poff (Pelham, N.H.) earned the win (2-1) out of the pen via 1 2/3 shutout innings, one hit, no walks, and one strikeout.

Meanwhile, Victor Molle (Peabody, Mass.) was tagged with the hard-luck loss (0-4) on one inning of work, two hits, four runs (one earned), zero free passes, and two punchouts.

Trailing 5-2 headed into the top of the seventh, Endicott answered with two runs on a John Duffy (Stratford, Conn.) RBI triple and a Christian Allaire (Sandown, N.H.) run-producing groundout to make it a 5-4 contest.

The Gulls' the comeback bid was short-lived, however, as the Monks responded with a seven-run frame – highlighted by a grand slam from Anthony DiPrizio (Rochester, N.H.) – to seal the eventual win.
