BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott freshman infielder Benjamin Schena (Cheshire, Conn.) was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Schena collected multiple hits in four of his five games last week, batting .375 (9-for-24) with three RBI, six runs scored, and three stolen bases. After collecting three hits and two RBI in a 12-11 victory over Suffolk, Schena posted four hits in the Gulls' doubleheader sweep of CCC foe Wentworth. He closed out the week with a two-hit effort in a narrow 3-2 setback to MIT.
