BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 23 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team lost to MIT, 3-2, in non-conference play on Thursday evening at North Field.

MIT starter Nick Charchut (Santa Monica, Calif.) picked up the win (1-1) via 5 1/3 innings, three hits, one run (earned), four walks, and three strikeouts. Teammates Jared Tramontano (Corona, Calif.) and Adam Katz (Mt. Kisco, N.Y.) notched holds as both relievers tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings out of the pen, respectively. Tommy Hannan (San Marino, Calif.) also collected the save (1) despite giving up a run in the ninth.

Endicott starter Liam Burke (Westwood, Mass.) was tagged with the loss (1-1) on 3 2/3 innings, five hits, three runs (all earned), and two walks. Endicott jumped on the board first on an RBI groundout off the bat of Nickolas Perkins (Nashua, N.H.) in the first, but MIT answered with a solo run in the third and two more in the fourth before holding off a late rally in the ninth by the Gulls to secure the win.
