Steve Morganelli Named To D3baseball.com Team Of The Week

D3baseball.com Team of the Week Release 

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott graduate student outfielder Steve Morganelli (Milford, Mass.) has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for the first in his career, as announced by the organization earlier today.

In a 3-2 week for the Gulls (March 1-7), Morganelli posted a .471/.583/.824 slash line to go along with six runs scored, eight hits, three triples, seven RBIs, five walks, and four stolen bases on four attempts.

Morganelli is the second Endicott student-athlete in a row to earn a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week as Will Bryant (Cumberland, Maine) received similar honors as a reliever for his efforts from April 24-30.

So far this season in 31 games played, Morganelli is hitting .316/.404/.461 with 15 runs scored, 24 hits, five doubles, three triples, 17 RBI, 10 walks, and seven stolen bases.

The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, honoring performers at each position from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the final Team of the Week of the 2017 season.

WHAT'S NEXT

Second-seeded Endicott (25-17) will play first-seeded Salve Regina (32-10) in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship Series (best-of-three) this coming weekend in Newport, Rhode Island. The first game of the series will take place on Friday, May 12 at 3 PM The second game and the "if necessary" game will be played on Saturday, May 13 with first pitch in the early game set for noon.
