BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott baseball team saw eight of its student-athletes earn Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference honors on Thursday afternoon, as announced by the league office earlier today. Mike Kochiss (Fairfield, Conn.) and Kevin Gould (Rollinsford, N.H.) highlighted the group with CCC Player of the Year and CCC Pitcher of the Year accolades, along with selections to the All-CCC First Team, respectively.
Joining Kochiss and Gould on the All-CCC First Team was closer Will Bryant (Cumberland, Maine), while Nick Berno (St. Albans, Vt.) and Michael DeDonato (Chelmsford, Mass.) collected All-CCC Second Team honors. Nick Quattro (Canton, Conn.), Michael Casciano (Somers, Conn.), and Anthony Serina (Portsmouth, R.I.) rounded out the group with All-CCC Third Team selections.
ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM
Kochiss becomes the first player in conference history to earn back-to-back Player of the Year honors since data on the award has been available (1995-2017). The senior shortstop .398 this season with three home runs and 27 RBI. He led the league in doubles with 15 and also had a league best 26 walks helping him to a league-best 77 total bases. Kochiss also ranked third in the league in runs (34), hits (51), and home runs.
In addition to those stats, Kochiss produced 17 multi-hit games, and eight multi-RBI games, and has reached base safely in 11 straight games entering the CCC Tournament later this weekend.
Meanwhile, Gould becomes the sixth student-athlete in program history to earn Pitcher of the Year honors, and third overall in the last four seasons. In 2017, Gould made eight starts for the Gulls going 5-0 with a 1.60 ERA, which included two complete games. He held opponents to a .204 batting average and averaged 8.60 strikeouts per game, good enough for sixth in the conference. Gould was especially effective at keeping men off the bases as he currently ranks ninth in all of NCAA Division III with a 0.87 WHIP.
Bryant concludes the list of All-CCC First Team honorees after posting a conference best six saves in 14 appearances alongside a 1.45 earned run average and 16 strikeouts over 18.2 innings pitched. From March 26 to April 29, Bryant compiled a scoreless streak of 14.2 innings where he converted all six of his saves and notched 12 strikeouts.
ALL-CCC SECOND TEAM
Berno posted a slash line of .333/.395/.427 (.avg/.obp/.slg) to go along with 27 runs scored, 39 hits, three doubles, four triples, nine RBI, 12 walks, and 14 stolen bases. Berno ranked third in the CCC in triples, sixth in stolen bases and 11th in batting average.
DeDonato had a slash line of .324/.379/.456 in 39 games played (tops among the conference) for the Gulls. DeDonato also tallied 35 runs, 44 hits, eight doubles, two triples, two homers, 28 RBI, 10 walks, and 17 stolen bases. DeDonato's top-20 conference rankings included: runs (2nd), hits (10th), doubles (15th), triples (5th), home runs (9th), RBI (6th), stolen bases (4th), batting average (19th), and slugging percentage (14th).
ALL-CCC THIRD TEAM
Quattro collected a 6-3 overall record, which included three saves, alongside 61 strikeouts and a 3.38 earned run average in 50.2 innings pitched (17 appearances, five games started). Quattro's appearances, strikeouts, and win totals rank first in the conference, while his innings pitched total is seventh overall.
Casciano came away with a .319/.374/.405 slash line in 38 games played for Endicott. Casciano also had 18 runs, 37 hits, five doubles, one triple, a homer, 18 RBI, 11 walks, three sacrifice flies, two sacrifice hits, and two stolen bases.
Serina rounds out the group of All-Conference honorees with a .246/.368/.281 slash line in 35 games played. Serina also compiled 18 runs, 28 hits, four doubles, 12 RBI, 20 walks (fifth in conference), and six stolen bases.

Second-seeded Endicott (23-16) will face the winner sixth-seeded Gordon and third-seeded Western New England in game four of the CCC Tournament on Saturday in Beverly, Mass. at 12 PM.
