Mike Kochiss Named CCC Player Of The Week

CCC WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior shortstop/third baseman Mike Kochiss (Fairfield, Conn.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Kochiss, who is the reigning CCC Player of the Year, batted .609 last week with a 1.000 slugging percentage as Endicott went 3-3 in non-conference play. The senior had hits in each of the Gulls' six games, including five multi-hit performances. He also scored at least one run in five of the six games. His biggest game of the week came in a 14-7 win against Rutgers-Camden in which he went 4-for-5 with five runs scored and two RBI. He also had two doubles and a home run in that contest.

Overall, Kochiss scored 12 runs and drove in five, while hitting four doubles, a triple, and a home run. The senior infielder was also part of a triple play in Endicott's first game against UMass-Dartmouth.

Endicott (5-3) returns to action tomorrow at home against Wheaton (Mass.) at 4 PM (weather/field conditions permitting).
