ENDICOTT RECEIVING VOTES IN COLLEGIATE BASEBALL NEWSPAPER PRESEASON POLL

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott baseball student-athletes Michael DeDonato (Chelmsford, Mass.), Mike Kochiss (Fairfield, Conn.), Nick Quattro (Canton, Conn.), and Anthony Serina (Portsmouth, R.I.) have all been named to the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper NCAA Division III Players to Watch list.

The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper NCAA Division III Players to Watch list is chosen by all NCAA Division III coaches from across the country and compiled by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

MICHAEL DEDONATO | INF/OF | CHELMSFORD, MASS. |

DeDonato started in all 44 games for Endicott last season and posted a .333 batting average, a .406 on-base percentage, and a .470 slugging percentage to go along with 45 runs, 56 hits, 22 RBI, 12 doubles, one triple, three home runs, 15 walks, and 17 stolen bases. He also compiled 16 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI contests.

MIKE KOCHISS | 3B | FAIRFIELD, CONN. |

Kochiss, who was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Year last spring, hit .410/451/.590/1.041 (.avg/.obp/.slg/.ops) in 44 starts at third base in addition to his 29 runs scored, 15 doubles, two triples, three home runs, 44 RBI, 12 walks, and four stolen bases.

Kochiss also compiled 19 multi-hit games and 12 multi-RBI contests, both team-highs, throughout his junior campaign and put together a 16-game hitting streak from April 8-24 (30 H, 11 R, 19 RBI, .566 AVG). Along with those numbers, Kochiss reached base in 18 consecutive games – three behind Matthew Paola's (Middlebury, Conn.) team-leading 21-straight mark – and batted .458 with runners in scoring position.

NICK QUATTRO | RHP | CANTON, CONN. |

Now a two-time Collegiate Baseball Newspaper "Player to Watch" honoree, Quattro will look to add even more accolades to his resume this coming season for the Gulls. So far in his career, Quattro has been named a D3baseball.com Preseason All-American, the 2015 CCC Pitcher of the Year, and an All-Region selection.

ANTHONY SERINA | 1B | PORTSMOUTH, R.I. |

Serina posted a .352/.427/.556 (.avg/.obp/.slg) slash line to go along with 50 hits (8 2B, 3 3B, 5 HR) and 27 RBI last year. Serina also broke three single-game program records in the opening round of the 2016 CCC Tournament as he collected six runs score, five hits, and eight RBI in a 28-4 win over the Colonels.
