SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced their weekly awards and sophomore JJ Branch (Milford, Mass.) and junior Harry Oringer (Dartmouth, Mass.) were recognized for their efforts in the Gulls 4-2 week as they improve to 13-4 (5-1 CCC) overall. Branch earned his first CCC Pitcher of the Week honor in his career while Oringer tabbed his second Player of the Week nod on the season.

Branch pitched his first two complete games of his career, earning victories over CCC rivals Salve Regina and Western New England to earn a 2-0 record on the week while improving to 3-0 overall. Compiling the two wins the sophomore boasted a 1.29 ERA in his 14 total innings.

In the 4-3 victory over Salve Regina Branch allowed just two earned runs on eight hits while striking out five on 29 batters faced. Branch threw 91 pitches in the seven innings while earning strikes on 62 of them. The pitcher followed that performance with a 2-1 road victory over Western New England where he retired five batters on strikeouts while only allowing four hits and one run on 26 batters faced.

The Gulls second baseman Oringer helped boost the Gulls to a 4-2 week as he batted an impressive .526 while recording a .632 slugging percentage and a .640 on-base percentage. The junior made just one error on his 21 fielding chances while adding three stolen bases, two being in a tough 3-1 loss to Salve Regina. Oringer scored five runs on the week while recording two in the important non-conference matchup victory over Brandeis.

Endicott will take the field next on Wednesday, April 9th at 3:30 p.m. as they host non-conference opponent Suffolk.
