BEVERLY, Mass. – After going 4-0 at home last week with a marquee win over the top-ranked team in the region and the #5 team in the country, Southern Maine, the Endicott baseball team jumped in the regional and national rankings as they currently own a 9-2 overall record and a 2-0 mark in conference play after a doubleheader sweep over CCC opponent Eastern Nazarene over the weekend.

The Gulls will enter Tuesday tilt with Salve Regina as the fourth ranked team in the Division III team in New England according to this morning's release from the NEIBA. Endicott (33 points) trail Tufts (43), Southern Maine (42), and Amherst (36) who make up the top three in the region. The Blue and Green match up with Southern Maine again on Wednesday, April 16th in Gorham, Maine as well as Amherst for a home doubleheader on Saturday, April 12th.

Endicott also has scheduled games with the sixth-ranked Wheaton (Mass.) Lyons on Thursday, April 3rd and Tuesday, April 22nd and CCC opponent Roger Williams, ranked eighth, on Monday, April 7th for two games at North Field.

Nationally, Endicott cracked the Collegiate Baseball News' Division III Top-30 poll as the Gulls came in at #27 finishing just behind #25 Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas) and #26 Buena Vista (Iowa). On the D3Baseball.com/NCBWA week six top-25 poll, Endicott finished just outside with 55 overall points, two shy of Buena Vista in the #25 slot. The only other New England institutions on either national ranking are Southern Maine (#4/#5) and Tufts (#20/#24).

The Blue and Green will look to improve their regional and national standing with six game scheduled through the weekend starting with today's doubleheader with Salve Regina. Endicott also faces Brandeis, Wheaton (Mass.), and Western New England.
