Endicott Baseball Opener Against Bates Postponed; Gulls Pick Up Florida Game

2014 Endicott Baseball Schedule

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott's 2014 season opener will have a wait one more week as poor field conditions at an icy North Field has forced Saturday's doubleheader with NESCAC foe Bates to be postponed to a later date.

Originally a doubleheader with the Bobcats, Endicott and Bates will play a single, nine-inning game on Tuesday, April 1st at 4:00 pm in Beverly. Endicott is 7-12 all-time against Bates but have won two out of the last three meetings under current head coach Bryan Haley. Last year, the two teams split their games in 2013 with the home team defending their own field with a one-run win.

Endicott also picked up a game during their spring break week in Central Florida at the RussMatt Invitational. On March 18th, the Blue and Green and William Paterson, who went 27-13 in 2013 and qualified for the NJAC Tournament, will face off at 6:00 pm on the campus of Southeastern University. The Gulls and Pioneers played during spring break last season for the first time with William Paterson coming away with a 10-3 victory.
