BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College baseball team posted 14 runs in each game of a Sunday doubleheader, as the Gulls defeated Anna Maria College, 14-0 and 14-1, in CCC action in Beverly, MA. The wins improve Endicott to 13-13 overall and 9-4 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

The offensive output started right away in game one as the Gulls put up five runs in the first frame. Endicott would end up scoring at least one run in each inning of action in game one of the twin bill, eventually cruising to a 14-0 win.

Sophomore pitcher Joe Paciello (Worcester, MA/St. Peter Marian) earned the victory in the opening game as he threw seven innings, surrendering only three hits while striking out three. Offensively the Gulls were led by Brian Andersen (Grafton, MA/Grafton) as the sophomore went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs in the win. Ryan Scanlon (Lowell, MA/Lowell) also continued his tear, notching two RBI in a 2-for-2 performance.

The Amcats opened the scoring in game two as the visitors quickly broke out to a 1-0 lead. The Gulls responded by scoring two runs in their half of the first to regain a 2-1 advantage. The Gulls would spot Anna Maria just that one run as the Endicott offense erupted for nine runs in the bottom of the fourth to break open what was a 4-1 ballgame. The Gulls Alex Judge (Wilton, CT/Wilton) didn't need anymore run support as went the distance in the Gulls 14-1 win.

Catcher Dan Gomez (East Longmeadow, MA/East Longmeadow) went 2-for-3 and drove in two in the winning effort. Endicott's Aaron Santos (Cambridge, MA/Cushing Academy) also had a strong game two in the leadoff position, batting 2-for-2 while plating in a pair.

Endicott retakes the diamond on Monday afternoon as they play host to North Shore Rival Gordon College in a CCC doubleheader. The Fighting Scots and the Gulls will play game one of the twin bill beginning at 2:00 PM in Beverly, MA
