Gomez, Parkinson Earn CCC Weekly Honors

BEVERLY, MA - Dan Gomez (East Longmeadow, MA/East Longmeadow) and Ian Parkinson (Peabody, MA/Peabody) both earned Commonwealth Coast Conference weekly honors after leading the Gulls to a 2-1 week.

Parkinson earned CCC Co-Pitcher of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after throwing a four hit shutout against Colby-Sawyer. Parkinson went all seven innings, striking out nine in the complete game victory. His 0.41 earned run average is tops among CCC pitchers, his 34 total strikeouts and 13.91 strikeouts per nine innings also lead the conference.

Gomez, a junior catcher, was named the conference Co-Player of the Week after hitting .455 (5-for-11) with one run scored and three runs batted in. Gomez has been consistent for the Gulls hitting .275 (14-for-51) with six runs scored and six RBI while playing in all 15 of Endicott's games behind the plate.

EC went 2-1 with a pair of wins over conference foe Colby-Sawyer College improving its overall record to 8-6. The Gulls are 4-0 in the CCC and return to action on Tuesday afternoon as they host the 15th ranked Southern Maine Huskies at 3:30 pm on the North Field.
