AUBURN, NY - The Centenary Cyclones recorded the program's first NCAA playoff win, highlighted by a seven-run seventh inning in a 13-4 win that eliminated the Endicott Gulls from the NCAA NY Regional at Auburn's Falcon Park. Centenary will face Eastern Connecticut in Thursday at 5 p.m. in an elimination game.

Junior first baseman Pat Cassidy (North Hunterdon/Annandale, N.J.), senior right fielder Chris Felix (Monroe/Jamesburg, N.J.) and junior left fielder Bill Geitzeiler (Rumson-Fairhaven/Rumson, N.J.) each had three hits -- including a double apiece -- for the Cyclones, who recorded 15 hits. Cassidy's two-run single closed out the seven-run seventh that gave Centenary a 9-2 lead. Senior catcher Matt Hoffman (Morris Hills/Lafayette, N.J.) homered and doubled, driving in three runs.

Centenary scored 11 runs over the game's final four innings, pulling away from a 2-1 lead.

Junior Cole Kimball (Hackettstown/Great Meadows, N.J.) earned the win by allowing just four hits, throwing 145 pitches in a seven-inning effort. He improved to 6-4, walking nine and striking out six.

Senior first baseman Matt Bishop (Woburn/Woburn, Mass.) led the Gulls, powering solo home runs in the first and seventh for Endicott's first two runs.

Centenary (29-12) improves to 1-3 in NCAA playoff competition; Endicott finishes its season 23-22.
