(Bridgewater, MA) Jamie Turner pitched 7.2 strong innings against MIT at Bridgewater State College earning his sixth victory, 6-2, in the first round of the ECAC New England Tournament. He was supported by a 13-hit attack from the Endicott offense.

Turner scattered seven hits and allowed only one eighth inning run. He struck out six and walked one. The victory makes Turner the Endicott career-victory leader with 22. He surpassed Rod Amidon from the class of 2002 who has 21. The defense saved Turner a run in the seventh with a key bases-loaded, one-out pick off at first base. Catcher Dan Gomez threw behind MIT base runner Aaron Kent to get the second out of the inning and Turner finished the job by striking out Jay Turner to end the threat.

Endicott scored first on a third-inning,two-run homer from Pat Vincent, his second of the season. Greg Allain scored in the fourth on a single by Gavin Softic, who had three hits on the day. The Gulls got two more in the fifth behind a double from Matt Bishop and an RBI single from Mark Vaughan. Steve Vidmosko scored EC's last run in the seventh when he singled and scored on another hit from Bishop.

Chris Serrano pitched an inning and a third of relief allowing a harmless run in the ninth.

The victory moves Endicott into the semi-finals against Brandeis (20-16) at 11:00am Saturday, May 21. The eighth seeded Judges advanced to the semis with a 15-7 thrashing of \#1 seed and host Bridgewater State. The semi-final game and the final game are both at Bridgewater State.

In other ECAC tournament action at Curry College, \#6 Keene State (23-15) beat Curry (20-14-2) 10-3. \#7 Babson (21-18) beat \#2 St. Joseph's College of Maine (32-10) 10-6. Babson will face Keene at Curry and the winner will come to Bridgewater for the final at 3:30.
