Port Charlotte, FL -- Mike Daggett and Jason Newham combined to allow just four runs on seven hits, but the Endicott bats could not push across a run. The loss drops Endicott to 1-3 on its annual spring training trip to Florida.

Endicott out hit MCLA 8-7, but the hits were scattered too far apart to produce a run. Matt Bishop continued his hot start collecting two more hits and improving his team-leading average to .455. Endicott's other six hits came from six different hitters inlcuding Erik Fields, Gavin Softic, Greg Allain, Gary Palmieri, Kowen Drake and Mark Vaughan.

Daggett pitched five and two-thirds innings allowing four runs on six hits. He struck out eight but was victimized by three errors which led to two of MCLA's runs. Newham was impressive again in second relief outing pitching two and one-third innings of scoreless ball.

Head coach Larry Hiser commented, "We are pitching very well and playing pretty good defense. It's just a matter of time until we get into our rhythm on offense. When that happens, we will be a tough team to beat."
