Offense Stymied in 1-0 Loss to Endicott in Women's Soccer

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--The Western New England University women's soccer team could muster only two shots in a 1-0 loss Saturday at the hands of visiting Endicott College in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Suprenant Field. The Gulls improve to 8-4-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the CCC, while the Golden Bears sink to 7-8-1 and 1-5 in the conference.

LeeAnn Card scored the only goal of the game, unassisted, with just 1 minute and 2 seconds left in the first half, and the Gulls defense did the rest by limiting the Golden Bears to just one shot over the last 45 minutes.

Katie Donnelly made two saves to earn the shutout, while WNE freshman keeper Briana Kubik also had a pair of stops.
