A standout guard for the men’s basketball team, Eric Simonelli played a major role in the growth and advancement of the program. During his time, Endicott captured two of its first league titles winning the GNAC in 1999 and the CCC in 2000.

A hard-nosed player, Simonelli averaged an impressive 17.7 points per game over his career. His 1,702 total points ranked number one on Endicott’s all-time scoring list by the end of his career. Perhaps more impressive are his 750 rebounds, which placed him second on the all-time rebounding list; a remarkable feat for the six-foot guard.

The team’s success coupled with his individual accomplishments earned Simonelli many awards. The four-time First Team All-Conference selection was also named GNAC Rookie of the Year in 1998, GNAC Player of the Year in 1999 and CCC Player of the Year in 2000. Nationally, he was recognized as a NCAA Division III All-American Honorable Mention in 2000 and 2001.
