Dr. Brian A. Wylie has served the Endicott Athletics & Recreation Department as its Director of Athletics since January 28, 2008. Wylie has campaigned Endicott's charge to be one of the premier NCAA Division III institutions in New England through the development and upkeep of top-level athletic facilities, the recruitment of academically and athletically superior student-athletes, the growth of a talented and dedicated coaching and administrative staff, successful fundraising efforts with Institutional Advancement, and many more attributes that have delivered the College's success in recent years.

During his tenure as Director of Athletics, Wylie has overseen a staff of 25 full-time coaches and administrators that work with Endicott's 21 varsity and seven club sport offerings, intramurals, and numerous health and wellness opportunities. In addition, several part-time coaches, graduate assistants, and volunteers have been a part of Endicott's 80 conference titles, 74 NCAA Tournament appearances, 13 ECAC Championships, 13 club sports conference titles, and six club national championships since Wylie took over the department. Perhaps Endicott's most impressive year to date was the 2013-14 academic campaign, where Endicott finished ranked 28th in the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings and Wylie was recognized as the ECAC Division III Administrator of the Year.

Meanwhile, in 2021-22, the Endicott Athletics & Recreation Department captured a school record nine varsity conference championships culminating in the Gulls' second-best finish ever in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings at No. 47 overall out of 430 colleges and universities.

Facilities on Endicott's campus have also raised the bar for the standard of NCAA Division III institutions with the dedication of the Raymond J. Bourque Arena which currently houses the 19th and 20th varsity sports programs in men's and women's ice hockey (construction completed in September 2015), the resurfacing and rebranding of MacDonald Gymnasium for the basketball and volleyball teams, new turf for Hempstead Stadium in 2014 for football, lacrosse, soccer, and rugby programs, and the renovation of North Field for the baseball and field hockey teams along with club sports and intramurals in 2012.

Academically, Endicott varsity student-athletes have improved from an overall 2.98 GPA in Spring 2008 to a 3.35 GPA following the Spring 2020 semester during Wylie's time as Director of Athletics. With the student body consisting of nearly 25% student-athletes on an annual basis, Endicott student-athletes have done their part in establishing the College's academic tradition.

Prior to his appointment, Wylie served as Director of the Post Center since its opening in 1999. From 1995-97, he served as Coordinator of Student Life.

Wylie, one of the original founders of men's athletics at Endicott, started the men's lacrosse program in 1995 (17-10 in two independent seasons as head coach) and the men's ice hockey club program in 2002 (49-29-4 and a top-10 regional ranking as head coach over four seasons).

Wylie earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Saint Anselm College in 1993, where he played defense on the Hawks' hockey team and midfield for the lacrosse program. Wylie has since gone on to earn a Master of Education degree in Organizational Management from Endicott in 2002, and obtained his Ph.D. in Educational Studies (Adult Learning and Leadership) from Lesley University in 2014.

He and his wife, Sonia, have two sons, Jackson and Dylan.
