James T. Daley, EdD, MS, LAT, ATC, CSCS, PES enters his 10th season at Endicott and fourth as Assistant Athletic Director, Athletic Performance and Athletics Health Care Administrator in 2021-22. In his role, Daley provides oversight to the athletic training and strength and conditioning aspects of the athletic department, as well as works to develop further initiatives to support the health, safety, and well-being of the student-athletes. He continues to serve as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Sport Science.

Daley came to Endicott with a Bachelor of Science (Exercise & Sport Sciences) from Colby-Sawyer College and a Master of Science (Health Science & Sport Studies) from the California University of Pennsylvania, as well as six years of professional and clinical experience. Daley has spent time at the high school, collegiate, amateur, and professional ranks as an athletic trainer. He completed his Doctor of Education (Educational Leadership) studies in 2021 from the University of New England.

Daley served as the assistant athletic trainer for the California University of Pennsylvania where he was clinically responsible for the football program while instructing functional kinesiology, sports nutrition, anatomy & physiology, and clinical education courses in the health science department. 

Daley’s prior collegiate experience includes stints at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Colby-Sawyer College, and Saint Anselm College. He has worked with a variety of varsity athletic programs including men’s and women’s basketball, ice hockey, baseball, football, women’s lacrosse, and soccer. Daley’s lecture experience extends to his time at UNC Pembroke where he taught courses in anatomy & physiology, introduction to athletic training, and the board of certification preparatory. 

He has also spent time with the New England Patriots in charge of athlete practice preparation as well as facility management and travel packing. Daley has also volunteered with the Boston Athletic Association. He currently serves as the Treasurer for the Massachusetts Athletic Trainers' Political Action Committee, which helps to organize the voice of athletic trainers across the Commonwealth to push for legislative change.

Daley is a licensed athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a certified athletic trainer by the Board of Certification, Inc, and a certified strength & conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He holds additional certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Heart Association as a professional rescuer. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, the Academy for Sports Dentistry, and the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security.

At the conclusion of the 2020-21 academic year, Daley was awarded the David H. Cammett Award for his efforts in the College's COVID-19 safety protocols and strategic plan implementation. The David H. Cammett Award is representative of an individual in the Endicott Community that embodies the essence of supporting our student-athletes.
