Endicott Lands A School Record 107 Student-Athletes On CCC Spring Academic All-Conference List

2019 CCC SPRING ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASE | LIST BY SCHOOL | CCC ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE HISTORY

BEVERLY, Mass. — 579 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) student-athletes were honored on Tuesday afternoon as the league announced its Spring Academic All-Conference Team. Endicott led the way for a third straight season among its nine other CCC full-member institutions and three affiliate programs with a school record 107 student-athletes recognized for their work in the classroom. The 107 bested the previous record of 91 set in the spring of 2018.

In order to be recognized as a member of the Spring Academic All-Conference Team a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) and must have also attained sophomore status.

The spring list of teams includes baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's golf, men's ice hockey, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, softball, men's swimming & diving, women's swimming & diving, men's tennis, men's track & field, and women's track & field.

Over the last three spring seasons, Endicott has produced 281 CCC Academic All-Conference honorees (93 per season). Meanwhile, when combining both the CCC Fall and Spring Academic All-Conference teams over the last two years, the Gulls have boasted 482 Academic All-Conference award winners, roughly 160 per academic year (153 in 16-17, 154 in 17-18, and 175 in 18-19).


ABOUT THE COMMONWEALTH COAST CONFERENCE

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference comprised of ten full member and four associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The conference administers championships in 18 intercollegiate sports.
