SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Following the conclusion of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) winter championships the Roger Williams men and Endicott women maintained their positions at the top of the CCC All-Sports Trophy standings. The Hawks men's programs hold a 7.67 points per sport average, while the Gulls women's teams are also averaging 7.67 points per sport.
WOMEN
Endicott continues to lead the All-Sports-Trophy for the women as the Gulls women's basketball team made a championship appearance, finishing as the runner-up, to give the Gulls eight points. They currently have a total of 46 points and offer six sports for the fall and winter seasons, giving them an average of 7.67 points per sport.
University of New England's basketball team added seven points after a strong season. It currently has a total of 36 points. UNE only offers five sports for the fall and winter giving them a 7.20 points per sport average and maintaining their second place position.
Western New England climbs into the third place spot after securing its first-ever CCC Women's Basketball Tournament Championship this winter. The championship means it was awarded nine points, increasing their total to 36 points. Their team average is 6.00 points per sport.
Roger Williams is currently in fourth place with 5.83 average points, while Salve Regina rounds out the top five with 5.67 average points.
Gordon (4.83 points), Wentworth (4.13), Nichols (3.25), and Curry (2.60) made out the bottom half of the rankings in that order.

MEN
Roger Williams maintains the All-Sports Trophy lead after finishing as a semifinalist in the men's basketball tournament. The Hawks offer three sports for the fall and winter giving them a 7.67 points per sport average.
Gordon stays in second after an impressive basketball campaign this winter finishing as the runner-up in the CCC Tournament and earning the Fighting Scots eight points in the All-Sports Trophy standings. Gordon is averaging 7.00 points per sport.
Endicott is tied for the third spot after having good seasons in both basketball and hockey. The Gulls currently average 6.00 points per sport, with a total of five sports.
Nichols, the 2019 CCC Men's Basketball Tournament Champions, made a notable jump from seventh place into a tie for third after taking home nine points for basketball and six points for hockey. The Bison's are averaging 6.00 points per sport as well.
The University of New England rose above Salve Regina after beating them in the CCC Men's Ice Hockey Tournament Championship. The two schools currently average 5.80 and 5.60 points per sport, respectively.
Western New England (4.80), Wentworth (4.00), Curry (3.25) take the bottom three spots in that order.

ABOUT THE ALL-SPORTS TROPHY
The All-Sports Trophies have been awarded annually since 2013-14 to the schools that perform the best across the board in league competition.
In each sport, points are awarded based on CCC championship and CCC runner-up finishes in the conference tournament followed by the regular-season finish of the remaining teams. The CCC Tournament Champion receives nine points and the CCC Tournament runner-up receives eight points.
The regular-season finish of the remaining teams is used to determine the number of points awarded to each of those programs. The team with the highest regular-season finish, excluding the Tournament Champion and runner-up, receives seven points with the next team down receiving six points. The process continues until all teams have been awarded points. In the event of a tie, each tied team receives the average of the sum of the spots for which they are competing.
After the total points are calculated, points are then divided by the number of CCC sports that each school sponsors to arrive at an average score.
For sports that do not conduct a conference tournament, each teams' place in the final regular-season standings or finish at the championship event are used to determine the allocation of points. Associate members are not eligible to earn points in the All-Sports trophy standings, but their finish is considered when determining the allocation of points for full members.
Starting in the 2017-18 academic year, the awarding procedure was amended so that any sport in which at least five core CCC members compete against each other in the same conference (even if that conference is not the CCC) would receive points in the All-Sports Trophy standings.
The All-Sports Trophy standings will be updated following the conclusion of the CCC spring season.

Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The conference administers championships in 18 intercollegiate sports.
