BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College Assistant Vice President, Director of Athletics Brian Wylie, Ph.D. has announced the promotion of James T. Daley, MS, LAT, ATC, CSCS, PES, to Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance and Athletics Health Care Administrator, effective immediately.

Under his new role as the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance and Athletics Health Care Administrator, Daley will support all facets of the sports medicine and strength & conditioning programs; providing leadership, management, and oversight with a focus on providing athlete-centered care and optimizing student-athlete performance.

"James has been a proven leader within the Department of Athletics and Endicott as a whole since he started with us six years ago. He epitomizes the word professional and I can't be more excited for him, the department, and most importantly, our student-athletes," said Wylie. "In regards to his new capacity within our department, James will still work closely with our athletic training staff and our student-athletes, but will focus more within the overall development of strength and wellness with all of our student-athletes. He also will provide direction and synergy for our strength coaches in our new Athletic Performance Center."

Daley joined the Endicott staff in 2012 as an assistant athletic trainer, a role in which he held for nearly three years, prior to earning a promotion to Associate Head Athletic Trainer in 2014.

Over his career at Endicott as an athletic trainer, Daley has worked specifically with the men's basketball, women's basketball, field hockey, football, and softball programs. He also has established countless relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and parents over the years. Those relationships will allow Daley to continue to put the overall well-being, athletic and mental health of Endicott's student-athletes first, even in his new role for the department.

"The creation of this role further emphasizes Endicott's ongoing priority of ensuring the complete welfare of our student-athletes. The Athletic Performance model is a shift from other traditional models and is one that you are starting to see increase at the professional and NCAA FCS level," said Daley. "It is important to me that I can represent the student-athletes in a way that supports their overall performance, both academically and athletically. I care deeply about the success of this institution and its most vital resource: our students."

Daley continued.

"I am very thankful to the administration, especially to our late President, Dr. Wylie, former Vice President of Admission and Financial Aid, Mr. Tom Redman, and Assistant Vice President, Director of Athletics Brian Wylie for believing in me and my abilities to positively influence the Endicott community."
