BEVERLY, Mass. – The annual Forever A Gull Challenge, sponsored by Northwestern Mutual and Super Sub, has reached the midway point of this year's fundraising campaign. Here's a look at who the top-5 teams are headed into the final week of giving. Also, as a friendly reminder, alumni who wish to participate in this year's campaign can donate on Venmo at ECForeverAGull.

The top-5 teams are comprised of eight programs listed in no particular order: field hockey, women's ice hockey, cheerleading, men's volleyball, women's soccer, men's ice hockey, dance, and women's volleyball.

FOREVER A GULL CHALLENGE INFO

The Forever A Gull Challenge is designed to raise funds for Endicott Athletics through philanthropic support from alumni student-athletes. The team with the most alumni donors between Friday, April 20 and Friday, May 4 will win $2,500. Second and third place receive $1,500 and $1,000, respectively. The winning team is not based on how much money they raise, it is based on how many alumni participate.

"Every gift empowers our student-athletes and Gull Nation to achieve bigger and better things," said Assistant Vice President, Director of Athletics, Brian Wylie, Ph.D. when asked about the Forever A Gull Challenge.

Alumni who make a gift of $25 or more will receive a limited edition Endicott Athletics luggage tag and alumni who make a gift of $100 or more will also receive a piece of apparel from their team.

REASONS TO GIVE

  • "Knowing our alumni are behind us and taking pride in supporting the program means a lot to our current student-athletes," said George Chapell '08 (Head Men's Volleyball Coach).
  • "Donors came through in a big way in 2017, lifting the dance team to the top of the Forever A Gull leaderboard. These donations have helped the team continue to climb the national rankings and assert itself as a New England powerhouse," said Nicole Sao Pedro-Welch (Dance Head Coach).
  • "Giving back ensures Endicott student-athletes experience the same amazing opportunities former Gulls enjoyed," said Kristen Altieri DeCarli '05.
