Endicott Lands 55 Student-Athletes On CCC Fall Academic All-Conference List

2015 CCC FALL ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has announced its Fall Academic All-Conference Team, which includes 447 student-athletes from all 10-member institutions. The Academic All-Conference honor rewards varsity student-athletes who attained at least sophomore status and maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. The Fall Academic All-Conference Team encompasses student-athletes who participated in men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball.

Endicott placed 55 student-athletes in total on the Academic All-Conference list in addition to having all seven programs represented boast a GPA of 3.10 or higher. The women’s soccer team led all Endicott programs with 15 student-athletes named to the list, while the women’s cross country and women’s tennis squads tied for the highest team GPA at 3.50.

Of the 55 honorees, Alexandra VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.) of the women’s volleyball team and Holly Rigoli (Waltham, Mass.) of the women’s cross country program represented Endicott as CCC Senior Scholar-Athletes. Other student-athletes listed with postseason honors included CCC field hockey Defensive Player of the Year Ashleigh Allen (Glastonbury, Conn.) and men’s soccer Defensive Player of the Year Carter Ocko (Danvers, Mass.)

In total for all 10-member institutions, the CCC Academic All-Conference Team consisted of 81 student-athletes who were also honored as All-CCC selections in their respective sports. Among the group are 36 First Team, 34 Second Team, and 11 Third Team All-CCC selections.
