SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced their Fall 2013 Academic All-Conference Team and Endicott was the leader of the pack with 54 honorees across seven first semester sports that included men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball.

Endicott’s women’s soccer program, who won the 2013 CCC Championship, had the most Academic All-Conference honorees out of any fall sport across the entire conference with 15 student-athletes on the list.  The Gulls field hockey team also finished at the top of the conference for their sport with 12 honorees.  Both women’s soccer and field hockey consistently appear on the coaches association team academic award list.

Of the 54 honorees, 11 were also recognized for their athletic ability with All-CCC awards including one Player of the Year in women’s tennis junior Chrissy Martel (Westbrook, Conn.).  Women’s tennis also captured their third straight CCC title this past season with three out of their four Academic All-Conference members earning All-CCC awards too.

The women’s cross country team trailed only University of New England (14) with 11 Academic All-Conference winners.  Men’s cross country, men’s soccer, women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball all had four placed on the Fall CCC Academic All-Conference squad.
