For his outstanding efforts during the team’s annual spring break trip to Florida, senior outfielder Tad Gold (Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.) has been named Endicott’s Male Athlete of the Week. Gold helped the Gulls to a 5-2 stand during the Florida trip. He Lead the team with 13 hits, including two doubles, three triples and 11 runs batted in to post a .448 batting average. Gold’s best efforts came in a 24-2 blow-out win over Keene State and an 11-3 victory against Benedictine (Ill.) The senior stud went 4-5 in the team’s first game versus Keen State driving in six runs and hitting two triples. A couple days later he kept up his hot streak batting 3-4 against Benedictine (Ill.) including four rbi’s, two doubles, and two runs. Gold and the Gulls look to keep high level of play up as they are scheduled to face Elmhurst, Worcester State, Southern Maine, Eastern Nazarene, and Salve Regina in a busy week of baseball.
